Before Her Eyes

Before Her Eyes is a thriller murder mystery by Jack Jordan is a good read. The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a teenage girl, Healey Miller. 

Naomi Hannah, now in her mid-thirties has suicidal thoughts but the people around her aren't aware of her death wish. She is a blind widow, divorced 2 years back. She had attempted suicide a few years ago when Dane stopped her. Dane Hannah, now her ex-husband. Now she works at a restaurant.

Naomi is staying alone with her pet dog, Max in the small town of Balkerne Heights. Rachel, her mother & Grace her elder sister, who is hiding a secret, are living in the same town. Naomi wasn't born blind but she lost her eyesight after her biological mother left her to die at a bus stop where Rachel found her and raised her. 

There are two murders in town recently, Cassie Jennings, a local news reporter, and Amber O'Neill, a police officer. The murders are linked to Healey's disappearance. Detective Inspector Lisa Elliott, Detective Seargent Marcus Campbell, Dr. Ling, Blake Crouch are investigating officers.  

Another girl, Josie Miller (Healeys' sister and Dane's girlfriend) is attacked in the woods but she survives with serious injuries.

Lisa finds out all victims had links to Dane and booked him and Niomi for the murders. But Marcus believes Naomi is innocent and he continued his search for the real killer behind Lisa's back and digs into the 20-year-old case of Healey's disappearance.

Naomi and Dane' are out on bail while Josie has recovered from her wounds. Town believes that Dane and Naomi are behind all nuisance and people turn against them. Naomi is also fired. Josie escapes the hospital and attacks Dane and Naomi and Murders George, Naomi's neighbor in the process. Naomi & Dane survive with fatal injuries & Josie is killed in the fight with Naomi.

After the incident police finally arrive and rescue the survivors.

Marcus learns the secret of Healey's disappearance from Grace and arrests Blake and his father. Blake is charged for all murders in the town but he never accepted those charges.

Healey's disappearance and the latest murder cases are then closed. The murder mystery is revealed in the end & it has an element of surprise to it. Have a read and enjoy.
